Where can I get help if I get separated from my child, or get lost myself?

Shopping facilities, theme parks, and stations often have a lost-child counter or a PA announcement system. On the street, look for houses or shops displaying a "Kodomo 110-ban no Ie" (children's emergency help point) sticker — anyone, not just children, can ask for help there.

"Kodomo 110-ban no Ie" is a nationwide network of ordinary homes and shops that volunteer as safe points a child (or anyone) can run to for help — their entrances display a sticker, and it's fine to ask for help there in an emergency.

Department stores, theme parks, and major stations typically have a "lost child center" or an information counter that can page someone by name and description over the PA system.

Agreeing in advance, as a family, to return to where you got separated or wait at a visible landmark (like an information counter) makes reuniting much easier.
