How do I use a washlet (heated bidet toilet seat)?
Controls are on a panel beside the seat or on the wall. Buttons marked for "rear" or "bidet" start the spray, and a "stop" button ends it. If you're not sure, start with the gentlest pressure/flow setting.
Panels are often Japanese-only text, but many use recognizable icons (a small human figure, etc.) to show what each button does.
Watch out for a red button or a phone icon — that's often an emergency call button for staff, not a toilet function, so avoid pressing it by accident.
