What this site is: a free, independent guide for travellers in Japan. It has two parts — a directory of practical answers for problems travellers actually run into, and an itinerary planner that works out routes, travel time and where you need to sleep between your arrival and departure points.

What this site does not do: we do not take bookings, make reservations, or act as an intermediary for any transport, accommodation or medical service. We do not provide medical, legal or immigration advice. In an emergency, call the official numbers listed in the relevant article — 119 for fire and ambulance, 110 for police.

Accuracy: journey times shown by the itinerary planner are our own rough estimates, not timetable data, and are labelled as such. Opening hours, fares, schedules and availability are never held on this site; every article points to the official source. Always confirm with the operator or authority before you rely on anything here.

Corrections: this site is written in Japanese first and then translated. The Traditional Chinese and Korean editions have not yet been checked by a native speaker. If you find a mistranslation or any factual error, please write to the address above — corrections are welcome and are acted on.
