Traveling with a baby — where can I find nursing rooms or diaper-changing stations?
"Nursing rooms" (junyuushitsu) or "baby rooms" are common in large shopping facilities, stations, airports, and department stores. Multipurpose restrooms often include a diaper-changing table too.
Department stores and shopping malls tend to have the best baby facilities and double as a handy emergency rest stop.
Some nursing rooms aren't set up for a male caregiver to accompany a mother inside, so it's worth checking what's available for your family setup ahead of time.
